The method to create knowledge together in an efficient way

 

  1. Designate a moderator of the meeting: he has the power to give word to people and to make decisions in case of controversy
  2. Clearly set the goals of the meeting: identify and point to the others issues that are not pertinent
  3. Raise your hand to ask to speak, wait your turn
  4. Whe you speak:
    • Start by saying the overall goal of your contribute
    • Be coincise
  5. Never interrupt the others (you can only make a gesture to invite to be coincise)
  6. The goal of the talk is to give information and compare different ideas and identifying their pros and cons
  7. The goal of the talk *is not* to convince the others. Tolerate that other people have different opinions
  8. Repeat the position of others in case of dispute to assure them that you understood (even if not necessarily convinced)
  9. Confrontatation of positions finishes when no additional information can be given, not when the other is convinced
  10. Learn to say "you are right" when you think you are wrong: this is sign of high intellectual capabilities
