I am a researcher at the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale "Antonio Zampolli" of the National Research Council of Italy, currently working in the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies, CNR, in Rome. I got a degree in Philosophy of Science and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology. My interests are both theoretical and computational, in several topics: anticipation and anticipatory behavior (see the EU funded project MindRACES); cognitive architectures (trying to bridge sensorimotor interaction with high-level cognitive capabilities such as practical reasoning); goal-oriented behavior; representation (theoretical and computational models); motivation (and their roles in determining behavior); decision making under uncertainty (theoretical and computational models, some experimental work), schema-based agent architectures (see the EU-funded project HUMANOBS), computational linguistics.
